You're safe NP, Volvo may be owned by the Chinese but they're still made in the EU *smile*

I think WHF could do a good article on who owns who.

Chinese manufacturing owns Britain.
...and the new Volvo we have on order! That’ll be a first for me, a car made in China.

If this is what Chinese ownership looks like then let’s have more ...

No, seriously, the V90 we are getting is made in China. Several dealers told me this. I believe it is sent to be trimmed in the EU, but the ‘chassis’ is made in China. The seats have little Swedish flags on, just to reassure you!

Well I never! It is a very sad day indeed when the 'premium' range of any product is made in China. Top marks to the Chinese though, if it wasn't for them then Volvo would have gone the same way as Saab.

Apple products are made in China. The manufacturers will make products to the spec you desire, using materials you prefer. There's no reason why they can't make premium products.

There are quite a few mergers and acquisitions going on in this sector.  I think WHF could do a good article on who owns who.
