Which album have you got Cass? Is it Merriweather Post Pavilion or the new one? How do you find it? Its a bit like the Beach Boys on acid which by all accounts would be good as i like the Beach Boys but i cant seem to listen to the album as a whole, those harmonies!
I listened to the album (it is indeed MPP) last night in the light of your Beach Boys comment and yes, that's pretty accurate! Electronica with surf tunes - though not quite as heavy on the vocal harmonies as the Beach Boys. Maybe a hint of Flaming Lips in there too. Excellent album, whatever the influences.
