Hi

Recently bought the Moto G . Its a nice phone with decent specs. Now yesterday I transfered some new tracks onto it, during the transfer it asked for whether I want to cenvert some flac files before transfering it to the device as it might not able to play those formats of audio files. I was hard press for time so I ticked the box which said copy it any way as the conversion would have taken more time.

Today as I was going to job I played some music on route and to my surprise the flac files were playing, I am using musixmatch( fav player by the way, if you use android u should use this) for audio playback. I quickly checked if the files got converted to mp3 somehow . I used ES file browser to find the files extension as .flac.

I got back from work and thought it should not play flac. So i downloaded a file from 2L the norwegian site for hires audio. transfered it to Moto G checked twice before playing that it didnt get converted and the extension is .flac( the file is 24 bit 96khz, bridge over troubled water by deUSYNL).

And voila it played. Now my question is is it playing a hires file( which would be nice),or am I missing something?

Thanks much apreciated

P.S. English is not my native language

My Nexus 6 plays hi res flac so perhaps so it is likely that yours can too. Altrough they never seem to advertise it.
