I'm currently using a Marantz CD6002 with a PM6002 amp running through a pair of tired Kefs which I'm going to replace.
I've seen a pair of Mordaunt Short Avant 902i's for a very good price but I was wondering if it would be worth paying extra (just over twice the price of the Mordaunts) for either Dali Lektor 1's or 2's ? would appreciate any insights.

N.B can't test them at either of my local hifi shops as they don't stock them.

Thanks

Definitely get the Lektor 2. The Mordaunt Short speakers are nice but no match for the Lektor's.

I would go with the Dali speakers. Choosing between Lektor 1, 2 or now 3 depends on size of room, how much bass you require/want and what kind of music you listen to.

Have tested the 1 and 2 with Arcam, and for the price they are really impressive. I have tried them with Metallica, Jack Johnson, Diana Krall and Grieg. Very good all rounders

Id go for the mezzo's same price as the lectors and a better speaker imo much more controlled treble, I found the lectors very tiring after a while...although they might be alright on the end of a marantz amp??

The Dali Lektor 2s are a better speaker than the 902i but, if you can stretch that little bit further, the Mezzo 2s are a definite class above. They are very very special speakers and a bargain at the price.
