MORDANT SHORT FLOORSTANDERS

Hi All

Has anyone moved 'up' from the MORDANT SHORT 914 to the 914i's. I see it has an upgraded crossover but do they have an inprovement in sound ?

Any advice would be very welcome.

I would imagine it will only be a small improvement. I've had a pair of 914i and they are excellent speakers for the money but I think you would be making more of a sideways move than anything.

Worth extending the budget to something further up the tree like something from the Mezzo range if you want to stick with MS.

I personaly find the 9 series to have the same tonality than the mezzo series...so I don't know why I'd go up in the price range.
