I knew someone who had one and said it was good although he had not tried the tacima. I think they are pretty similar. I am going to try this whic is also basically the same thing by a decent brand ,but is much cheaper:Here is the link for your browser: http://www.rdvd.co.uk/index.php?c=14&n=560800&i=B002BIZVBC
Will get back to ppl on ere when i tried it out.

Hi,

Do you mean the 'Powercentre' by Monster? If so, I have one (cant remember the model number, but it's the blue, eight plug version) and it's very good.

It's very good at taking the noise away from TV pictures. Whether it's better than the Tacima, I couldn't say, as i haven't used one.

1 year ago i bought the 900 series gold one. Never looked back better picture on my television better sound on my hi fi worked great every time with power outs and spikes. well recommended.

Plus they come with coax and satellite coax monster cable as standard no extra purchase necessary for the extra cables for surge protecting your equipment these are a great investment.

I do not know much about the Tacima but i invested in the monster because it is a good surge protecter and it came with the coax cables for my satellite.

Well i got the 'Profigold one' i mentioned the other day further up. I have to say: I noticed an improvement picture-wise over the 'tacima' (during tv watching) i originally had plugged in, maybe this is because of the aerial connection being surge protected, filtered and 24k gold plating which of course the 'tacima' didn't have one, and 'on par' watching dvd's etc.
I think it's great value and it has an extra socket making 7 in all, so i would recommend it to anyone to try.
