Hefe, sorry to hear about your bad experience. If you see youtube, its full of broken Beats as well, Monster really should do something about it. After paying so much money for something, how can it be this flimsy

El Hefe:Aaaahhh didnt know the Bose having a similar issue. The over the ear model I have seems quite sturdy.

Will have a look at Goldring. Saw on ebay a brand new set is 99 GBP.
How about the Senns PX450?

Yes, the circuitry looks complicated but the quality of material used is just next to rubbish.

Had compared to Goldring with Bose QC15. The noise cancellation part, the Bose seems to fair better then Goldring. Musicality however goldring sounded more neutral. The bose can be a a bit extreme on the high notes but bass is sufficient.

As noise cancellation is the main criteris, i got myself on Xmas day the QC15 and the Soundwave system to replace my tivoli audio for bedroom. The Beat Dr Dre headphones is going on ebay for very very cheap.
