Hi all,

I'm in the process of getting my new Monitor Audio setup together and just wanted some advice on the placement for the RSFX rears. The manual that came with them showed a diagram of them being placed on the side walls, unfortunately because of the layout of the room, i won't be able to do that and am going to have to mount them on the rear wall pointing out. My seating position is against the same wall.

Will this have any adverse affect on the sound?

Thanks guys

I have had my MA RS8 AV system installed by the dealer.
The RSFX speakers were put on the rear wall, 4" off the ceiling and about 14" in on both sides of the room.

Sit with the settee almost against the rear wall in a 14' x 20' room which has a 7' 6" high ceiling.

They are superb, enjoy.

Cheers Trevor, i was thinking of putting them at about head height, should that be ok or are they better off higher up? Also, i'm assuming they should be left on bi-pole when used like this?

Thanks again

I thought that too, but was told by Wilkinson's Hi Fi that the best position was where they fitted them.
They are MA dealers, and they were right.
Furthermore running the speaker cable up in the corners and along the top meant that they were hardly noticed and the speakers are very unobtrusive in the room.
