I have spotted what looks like a bargain - MA RS1 for £199. How does these babies compare to the BR2 at £195? I have a Cambridge 540 v2 amp or an Onkyo 715UK mini system

Yes and no, really. Yes the RS1's are a better quality speaker, however, due to the Cambridge's sonic character, the BR's would probably have better synergy.
Where did you spot that bargain? I have been looking for a pair of MA RS1 as sorrounding speakers. I have RS6 as front speakers with Onkyo 875. They are working well together. If you don't mind, could you let me know where did you spot the bargain?

The Silver series is far more detailed, far better finished, lack the boxiness of budget speakers, and they're the same price as the Bronze......
I went with a pal to do a side by side dem of both using Yamaha amp and CDP.Even to my mate, who's only just getting into hifi .The difference was obvious.RS1's hands down and that was at the original price.I the end he realy went for it and bought some RS8's. Divorce can have some sonic benifits
Wow! I've been running the RS1s in for 2 hours now, and they are fantastic! Brilliant with any type of music, especially with my favourite guitar rock. I am so glad I went for these over the BR2s.
