Bit of a noob question here so forgive me.

I'm looking at getting the Panasonic TX-P42G20, but most of the places I've seen online are selling the TX-P42G20B version. I've heard conflicting reasons for the difference.

Firstly, that the "B" just designates that the TV has a british plug and otherwise is exactly the same TV. The other "rumour" is that there is a significant performance issue between the two.

I highly suspect its the former, but I just wanted to check before pulling the trigger.

Anyone any ideas? Much appreciated.

Right TX is the range, p denotes plasma, 42 the screen size, G20 the model, and B denotes 230v fitted with a UK plug.

Occasionally there is a further letter on the end, sometimes found in places like John Lewis or Currys etc, this model is specifically for them to stock.

EXACTLY the same TV

Alantiggger:B version cames with a base attached,

B denotes a British model with a 230w UK plug attached as True Blue states. All of Panasonic's 2010 plasma tv's do not have the bases attached, you have to attach it yourself as this saved on cost for Panasonic with regards to the packaging being smaller.
