Merlin Tarantula - Surge protected ?

I run my hifi through a Merlin Tarantula 6 way mains distribution block, but am concerned as to whether it offers surge protection. Can anyone confirm whether this is the case or not. Regards, Steve

No, mate and even though Tacima doesn't make my Hifi sound better (the seurge protection did save my system from the last lighting strikes) and they are a 5 stars product which then easier to recommend here as members can relate to Tacima better than Belkin (I have some belkin too, nothing wrong with them what so ever!)
