Yes current delivery is a very important factor.
To use a simplified car analogy, watts are the horsepower and current delivery is the amount of torque produced.
You can have a large amount of horsepower without much torque and vice versa.
The ideal is a complimentary combination of the two depending on the intended purpose .
A tractor needs masses of torque to pull heavy loads, a light racing car needs maximum horsepower to accelarate the light load quickly with minimum inertia.
A car with plenty of both will do just about anything very well.
