maybe a stupid question!

Hey all, I have recently set up my monitor audio br2 speakers on a pair of soundstyle stands, but a few recent near misses with my nephew and my dog caused me to ask this! at the moment the speakers are resting on the spikes on the top plate, is there anything i can get to put on the base of the speakers to make them more secure and not slide if touched?

i was wondering about that myself recently, and i was told by several people to remove the top spikes from the stands, and put blu-tac on them, then put the speaker on the blu-tac..
