Marantz sa 8005 cd player or na 8005 network player - DAC

I'm currently getting into good quality digital sound from my laptop/ipad to my hifi and looking to purchase one of the above, primarily for the onboard DAC.

I wondered how these compared with other DAC's for sound quality ?

I currently have a Roksan K2 Amp and Monitor Audio silver standmounters, and listen to mainly to rock, blues, acoustic music and pop.

ps i think the Dac is a Cirrus Logic CS4398 high-performance 24-Bit, 192 kHz D/A converter

Well the Marantz's are £599 each including cd or nas functionality so I suppose I'd consider £300 - £500 max for an equivalent DAC ?

Both Marantz's get rave user reviews on the internet but appear to have been overlooked by magazine reviewers
