Marantz pm8005 and Tannoy revolution xt 8f

I have a marantz pm 8005 and I am thinking about buying new speakers tannoy revolution xt8f .

the thing is that I do not know if marantz and tannoy is a good match or not ??

can you tell me what you think guys ??

Ive not heard that combo but honestly imo there is no reason why that should not work. The 8005 is a very good amp and the tannoys are great speakers.

I personally think they match each other very well. Had a Marantz PM57 matched with some Tannoy Mercury speakers and that worked really well. I was so impressed that when I upgraded to the PM8005 I bought some Tannoy Revolution DC6 SE standmounds but I found them lacking a bit in bass so I purchased the Tannoy Precision 6.2. As everyone says speakers are a very personal thing so it is best to audition them first.

I must admit though I'm very tempted to look at Active speakers though when I get some money to upgrade.
