Marantz PM6005 integrated amp only works when Source Direct is on.

As the title states, I can only get sound out of both of my speakers when Source Direct is turned on. When it's off, sound only comes from the left channel. This applies to all inputs. I've tried swapping speaker positions and no luck. The balance knob is dead centre so its distributing to both channels equally.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Firstly when source direct is on usually only the cd input will work. Secondly since you only get sound from one channel, it seems the amp is faulty, return to dealer.

Agree, Source Direct should not effect speaker channels . The amp is faulty, return it.
