I have just exchanged a Denon AVRX250 for a new Yamaha - HTR2071, after problems with the sound from any source cutting off the first second on the Denon. I am using the AV amp with 5 speakers and no sub. Three issues for me now:
1. On the standard setting on the Yamaha, I find the sound thin in comparison to the Denon. Are there tweaks to be made on the standard setting?
2. The only sound 'Program' that doesn't cause a slight echo overall and a change in the centre sound when speach and effects/music (that is sounds from the rear at least) come both at once is the one called DPL. Again, is this a matter of tweaking?
3. On the previous AV amp I was happily able to stick to one sound setting for everything. The only issue was that different inputs and channels have widely varying overall level - how should I approach that?
