hi
i have the above with tons of music on usbx2 on it. the question is i only use it at about an hour at a time. why will after turning it back on it does not start playing where i left off so i can listen to all my music eventually

Presumably because you clear any memory, if it actually has any, when you switch off and memory sticks don't have a memory.

I didn't know it has a memory. I've only used a usb stick a few times with mine and used the Marantz app to select albums/tracks.

I did say , if it has any....
I doubt anything you are using has a memory function
