Marantz CR603 - A few questions

I'm seriously considering the Marantz CR603 to replace my 2nd system and partnering it with some M/A BX5's

I've a few questions though as this type of system is very new to me and I'm not that technically minded when it comes to wireless/networking capabilities etc...

The unit would be in my large, spare bedroom at the other end of the house (i.e. no where near the wireless route I have for my PC, laptop and iPhone etc...) and I dont want to run any wires etc...

• - If I wanted to stream iTunes to the Marantz system (which would make life easier as I can then whack all my CD's onto the PC (I've 2TB of RAM so plenty of memory) then is it just a simple case of downloading AirPlay and going from there? If so how does the Marantz pick up the wifi network; does it have a dongle/ariel etc...?
• - If I wanted to listen to internet radio stations can this be done via AirPlay or would I need an ethernet bridge plugged into the back of the Marantz so that I can stream internet radio stations or can I just use AirPlay and listen to the radio stations on iTunes?

However you want to stream music to the Marantz, you will need either a wireless bridge or an Ethernet connection: the M-CR603 has no built-in wireless capability.

Are there any wireless routers that could act as a wireless bridge so that you could have just one device?

I use a Netgear WNCE2001 universal WiFi internet adaptor - Virgin Media super hub (30gb) and have no problem with internet radio, i do not stream from a computer and so can't remark on that. Maybe Andrew can tell you if it would work for you.

Wouldn't really help much if the main wi-fi router is at the other end of the house. You really need an add-on device to turn wi-fi into Ethernet: I've used various such bridges with success in the past, such as this or the Netgear unit mentioned above.

Thanks Andrew but as it happens, my wi-fi router would be sitting not far from the Marantz so I was thinking of directly connectimg the latter to the router via Ethernet but if I understand you correctly, such a solution is not feasible?

I have my M-CR603 connected with ethernet cable to the back of my wireless router. Best way to do it.
