Marantz CD6004

When you play a WAV file from an USB stick........does it sound just as good as when you play a CD ?

I have the CD6003 and can hardly hear any difference. I suppose the same can be said about the CD6004.

Maybe not exactly but unless you play them one after each other you would be hard pushed to tell. The I pod works very well on mine.

I have an Ipod Classic going through the CD6004 and did some 'testing' after a glass of brandy! A Jack Johnson track on CD followed by the same through the Ipod using the DAC's in the CD6004 no difference in quality to either my GF's or my ears. Both fantastic sounding.
