Marantz CD6003 - improving the dac?

I have a Marantz CD6003 - would I get an improved sound if I disabled the internal dac and used a musical fidelity v-dac mkii?

Yes but you need to demo it.

Just been listening to Rega DAC through my CD6004.... It's blown me away and I'm Going to buy one

I can't see why the 6003 would'nt be a good transport with an off board dac. Demo dac's and make sure you're happy.
