Marantz Cd-6004, pm-6004 - speakers

I've not heard 684's with these Marantz electronics however at a similar price the CD6004/PM6004 does pair well with Monitor Audio's Silver RX6's 🙂

one of the best floorstanders in this class is mordaunt short mezzo 6.................

liveliness of the mezzo 6 with the warmth/control /speed of marantz ..............

i bet its a better fit for 6004 than 684

try it ...............in the end is all personal taste !!!!!!

What do you find of the combination Marantz PM KI Lite or Marantz pm 7004/ Marantz cd 6004/MA RX 6? Much better than with the PM 6004?

The Marantz pm 7004 is now 399 Euro; the pm 6004 350 Euro. Music older rock.

I've just ordered the cd/pm 6004 along

with MA Bronze BX2s. Need to mount on wall so ruled out floorstanders. I'd really like to change speaker order to MA Silver RX1/2s but worry because i need to mount them at the corner of 2 walls and the RXs have a rear bass port. Does anyone have any experience regarding corner mounting with rear ported speakers?

Does it still sound ok or should I just stick with the front ported BX2s? :?

Any advice would be gladly received, only have 5 days before I'm due to collect everything!
