I own both thes players, but i need space so i have to sell some hifi.

I use a PS3 for blu-ray and a Denon 3805 for surround sound and stereo.

We need space(wife is pregnant, HIPPY!!), so i have to sell some of my verry loved hifi seperates.

I'm thinking of selling my 3910 and play dvd's with my ps3 and the Marantz cd 17 for cd's.

Or keep the 3910 for playing cd's and dvd's.

Which is the best option here( cd sound )?

Thanx for repley.

Marantz CD17. No contest. Though the 3910 is a great DVD player (far better than a PS3). So it depends what you want more. Better sounding CDs or better looking DVDs

Cheers

Marantz should win depending on how transparant the rest of your system is. Believe it or not, there are people out there saying "all CD/DVD players do sound the same!!!"

well it is if you are using 1990 all in one Sanyo amp and speakers!

Even through an AV receiver instead of a stereo amp? I would suggest testing and seeing if you can notice a difference in sound. I would say that the dvd player's extra over the PS3 for dvds was more obvious than the improvement in sound over the Marantz.
