There are two petitions on the 10 Downing Street website that people might like to support (or not!). One is to allow DVD Ripping for personal use (http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/DVD-Ripping) and the other is to make all DVD's region free (http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/hackcodes). I'm afraid I have no idea how to make the links work as proper weblinks.

I dont think petitions make much of a difference as I've been there done that. But the causes are still good. Region coding is no problem when you're only watching DVDs on the computer but I'm rather in a minority there and I know that. ;-) The ripping protection has gotten quite pathetic, even for games. Question is how a general protection can still be implemented while allowing for the personal use exception.
