I will gladly loan you the correct screwdriver mate, those brennenstuhl blocks are very good, send me your address somehow and I will post you a driver, as for the house burning down, that's what fuses are for! Funnily enough we are the only country in Europe that uses them apart from maybe Cyprus, everyone else use Schuko plugs that have no fuse!

What was the 6 way you used? I am going to keep hunting till I find a good quality extension that comes apart and has no LED or switches.

In Malta we use the same plugs you do, being an ex colony.............

Brennenstuhl make 4.6.8 and 12 way blocks but are not easy to re-wire yourself as you need a safety screwdriver to get them apart. A customer collected a 6 way silver plated mains block from me the other day and did remark that he couldn't find one anywhere else!

Impossible to say as mains cables give differing results depending on system, existing cables etc, etc. Easiest option is to loan one based on your budget which I am quite happy to do?
