Emotiva CM6 Power Conditioner/Surg protector

Putting out a plug (pardon the pun) for this affordable power conditioner. I was noticing a dull quiet rhythmic tapping-like sound with my new amplifier. Nothing really perceptible unless you got right up next to the speaker. I was using very old low budget basic power strips, so I thought I would try something nicer but pocket friendly (relatively speaking). Got everything re-plugged in and the difference is noticable. No more background noise and even think play back is a bit improved. Bass just sounds a little tighter, more “air” around everything. Cheers!

I would never recommend passive power conditioners, as putting things between the power outlet and equipment just adds unnecessary impedance to the system. (Surge protection is fine as it only operates when there is a surge)
If you want to add something that does make a difference to supply, the get a re-generator, as being active it will give you low impedance as well as a consistent supply of power.

I use an 8-way Belkin surge protected lead for my PC and a single Belkin for my head amp, they are all you need. Here's the 8-way: Belkin 8-way lead (Amazon)

I must say this Belkin looks superior to my TACIMAs, First yours has 8 gangs plus 2 USB's, (mine has 6 gangs and no USB's.) Further more, Yours is half the price of mine, and it has a switch! And I had to buy 3 of them. TV, HIFI and Computer.
I know I have said this before, THE NATIONAL GRID is undergoing major maintainence. There will be power drops and surges for years. Local substations can burst into flames, YOUR STUFF IS AT RISK!
