Thanks for the advice, There is an awful lot of talk when it comes to cables I know, but a good quality one does not necessarily cost a bomb. I am involved in the cable industry (yes we still have one) and use QED silver (freebe) for the speaker cables, and it is just as good as other (no names no pack drill) more expensive cables which when it boils down use copper in most applications with different dialectrics, the same applies to connecting cables such as usb, toslink being fibre relies on the buffer qualty and the connection, sorry for rambling on, back to where we were, I will use my MAC Book to store y music in some lossless format, connect to an Arcam RDAC by asynchronious usb, good interconnects to my Sugden and off we go, hope you agree this set up would be OK.
