I'm thinking of buying the 3 front m&k s150thx to replace my current Monitor audio radius hd speakers. Just wondering would my current pioneer sc-lx71 thx-select amp have enough power to drive the s150 speakers,as i knew these speakers need a lots of power to drive. Or else any chance of adding a power amp to my pioneer amp or any suggestion of any amp to go with the speakers(hope this would not be the option, tight of budget). And the last concern, i'm wondering is these M&K too powerful for for the current room size i have 2.5m X 3.5m room. please help. thanks.

Pioneer Sc-lx71, LG PS300 50' TV, Sony Bdp-360, Sony PS3, QED silver Hdmi, Monitor Audio Radius HD 5.1

The 71 would drive them, but not well enough. I would recommend a slightly larger room, but I know a few people who use them in smaller rooms.

What do u mean by bio??does it mean that connecting a power amp to my pioneer amp to provide more power?Since you said that u have friends that use the s150 in a smaller room, how is it sound?still good?..thanks for ure reply.

The 150's sound good at normal volumes, but they like playing louder - after all, they've been designed to work at reference level. I usually watch films between -30dB and -20dB (depending on whether it a DVD or Bluray) and my room's not huge. Even at average volumes they need an amp that will take them by the scruff of the neck and tell them what to do. My previous £1400 amp drove the 150's, but didn't make them sing.
