Luxman 509X(L) or MFM6si500(MF)?
I have the opportunity to buy at a good price second hand L=6000€, MF=3000€.
Please give me suggestions!

BR, Joe

That's a very large price differential......but if you have the disposable cash......Luxman all day long.......my friend has a 507z...they're is something very special about a Luxman amplifier and sheer pride of ownership is a big part of it......and they sound sublime.

Hi Joe,

Which speakers, source components will you pair with new amp? How big is the room? Which are your music preferences? BR. Juraj
Pretty much irrelevant. If you want a class amplifier that will cope with most speakers then either will do that. Room size doesn't matter, however if OP can afford a Luxman then that's where to go.
I guess it will also depend on whether or not OP requires an inbuilt phono preamp.

Both of those amps are amazing products not that I ever had the pleasure or the opportunity to listen to either of those amps, but my sentiments are based on universal rappoire and reputation of these amps.
Just to be different, have you considered another brand of similar or better quality?
The lower end Accuphase integrated amps start around the 6K mark.
The E280 is possibly worth considering as an alternative to the Luxman 509X
I believe Doug Brady Hifi is one of Accuphase dealership in UK but also check the link below.

When you’re spending this kind of money on an integrated Amplifier.....the op really should have done some research and be truly aware what is available....in fact if I had 6k to spend on an amplifier.....I wouldn't be asking.....a forum.....I'd already know what I'd have on my list for home demo...

If it were I with the 6K would I really want to spend so much on amp?
Anyway indulge me, If I were to spend £6k on an amp,

I would book an appointment with an Atoll UK dealership, and arrange a listening demo. I had in mind the new Atoll 400 Evo, possibly one of the finest 6k integrated amps around and yes, others will beg to differ.

I think I can understand where the OP is coming from, the Luxman has a pedigree, it's possibly the Hifi equivalent of driving a Rolls or a Bentley, not the best sounding amp on the planet but it has class 🙂
