Looking to upgrade advice on speakers needed

Have decided to upgrade system need better speakers on stands this is what I have now: Project Debut 2 Turntable with Ortofon OMB5 Cambridge Audio Azur 540a Amp Cambridge Audio Azur 540c Cd TDL Nucleus KV1 speakers bi wired on stands. Speaker cable is Gale Electronics xl160 The Audio connects are QED QUNEX 2  what speakers would go well if I replace the TDL was looking at B&W 685 but people on forum say to others avoid any advice would be welcome
