Little discoveries

I know I'm late to the game with this 21st century hifi stuff. Occasionally I make a discovery and it's not like my wife cares. In fact most here wont care either, but maybe there are people like me,to who this stuff is new also.

I bought a 50 pound SMSL M3 on amazon a few months ago, that allows me use my laptop as a music player through my hifi- spotify, flac files etc, no biggie, everyone knows this 😉

I discovered with an OTG cable, my phone (android) can be also used also through the dac, if I turn on spotify on the phone and my laptop I can use the phone as a remote if my laptop is connecyed, or vice versa, thats new to me, and works great.

Oh, this 50 pound dac sounds great also. It's the little things 🙂

Glad to hear I'm not the only one at the start of this journey. It's very useful to know that SMSL dac works with Android phones. Considering something like a Vodafone Smart First (Android smartphone) is £15 new it works out even cheaper than a Chromecast audio 🙂 with added functionality.
