Spendor is indian owned? Interesting.

all leema products are made in wales, i guess that makes them british. Not sure whether they buy some of their components from abroad. Pmc and bw's 800 series are also made in england.

Leema Acoustics were supplied with their major electronic/electrical components by another local company (Davlec) who sub-contracted to them. Davlec had their roots in computerised Dairy hall control electronics and used spare capacity for supplying a number of smaller enterprises, including Leema Acoustics.

Eventually - in 2014 - Davlec bought out Leema Acoustics so it's still a Welsh company

Do you get a pint of semi-skimmed with every Tuccana?

Grew up 1/2 mile east of Offa's **** where most milking was still manual.

To add one more: dCS

Really? This suggests otherwise (it's a 2011 article though):

Mr Ajay Babukao Shirke is/was a shareholder and director with Audio Lounge, SME and Spendor. There are other directors and shareholders (including MD Phillip Swift), so I don't think it's 'Indian' by any definition especially as Mr Ajay Babukao Shirke lives in NW London.

Quite possibly but I thought perhaps the definition of what is British is something that is actually manufactured / assembled here rather than the nationality of the firm's director.

Which is why I said... "so I don't think it's 'Indian' by any definition".

Apologies, I should have quoted Mr. Ghose and not your post.

Anyway the directors nationality or where he lives are both irrelevant.
