I'm having problems with my bro in laws set-up. He's using a PS3 for BR, the Sony DAV-IS and a SOny LCD also. both the DAV and the PS3 are connected to the LCD via HDMI, there is also an optical cable running from the LCD to the DAV system.

When playing any BR disk the sound is a fraction late.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the TV is delaying the sound slightly to let the picture-processing do its stuff, with the result that it's seriously late by the time it's spat out through the optical link and processed again by the DAV-IS10. Try connecting the PS3 direct to the DAV-IS10 with the optical cable for movie/games audio, and the TV to the DAC-IS10 using analogue interconnects for TV sound.
