Hi, I'm new to lcd tv's having just borught my 1st - as LG 42LH5000 and hooked it upto my old Toshiba SD-350e via a new QED hmdi cable and the picture is really great. However, the sound via the tv when playing a dvd is out of sync with the action. Using my av setup, the sound is spot on. ?? I've read a view posts and general stuff on the web but I'm still unclear. It looks like my old dvd player maybe HDMI 1.1 and the new LCD & cable are 1.3 - is this a problem? Does any one have any ideas whats wrong?

Thanks

I'we got a similar problem on my 42LG5020

The LGE.com product page mentions that if you are having problems where "there is a synchronisation problem with the sound and the picture when viewing an HD Channel (PS3 HD; Freesat HD; Sky HD set top boxes)..."

"Most LG HDMI ports do not support the DTS HD signal, so please change the audio settings on your set top box to either PCM or AC3"

The FAQ for your 42LH5000 has the same comment
