Hey, I run a Roksan K2 with Lintons in my room (45m sq). I think it is a great combo.
What type of music do you listen to?
They need some space I would say, at least a foot (30cm) from the rear wall and more if you can.

Especially jazz, jazz, jazz and Dire Straits. 🙂
Personally I like to listen to a various genres and types but mostly that mentioned above.
You have a big room!

I suspect according to my own music preferences, the size of my listening room and the fact that I don't like to listen at high volume levels that I would prefer the Super Dentons over the Lintons.
I generally enjoy compact standmounts most, though I loved the Rega Aya when I heard them at Bristol, probably because the cabinets are more rigid than most affordable floorstanders.

Yes my experience is so far similar. I tried B+W 707 S, I found those a little on the bright side, the KEF LS50 meta, I found them quite dull unless turned up and I most certainly don't agree with the magazine's assertion they they are "blindingly good" etc, etc.
I'm not a fan of rear ported speakers, I honestly believe front ports make more sense.
Believe it or not I now use a pair of 1992 B&W 805V, with a B&W PV-1 sub, which is beautifully subtle and blends seamlessly, with it's volume set just below half and set to about 90hz. I've had no difficulty with placement issues.
I'd like to try some Super Dentons. They're about a couple of inches larger than the 805V, but wouldn't dare without a home audition because the 805Vs are the best speakers I've had so far in spite of their age.

That B&W 805V is not a cheap speaker, isn't it?

Well, I guess not. They're not easy to come by these days. I saw what looked like a very nice pair in a Walnut finish on eBay from some posh used Hi-Fi dealer and they were asking £1175 for them.
I bought my black (unfortunately) ones about five years ago for £700 and I'm constantly impressed with them.
I sometimes toy with the idea of buying something a bit bigger but don't want floor standers, and I'm hard pushed to believe I'd find anything that sound better.

There is a very serious and complex debate about which is better in matter of audio quality, low, mid and high frequency, the standmounts or standfloors.
Many people says that a standmount speaker never perform better than a tower one, detailing technical reasons for that. In matter of bass a standmount will always need one or two subwoofer.
There are some guys on the forums who should "kill" in defence of their ideas regarding that towers deliver a better quality in matter of sounds.

Some say that..
But plenty of people (and their neighbours) get more than adequate bass from standmounters alone.
That's right!
There are some reason in having one and two subs if you are very demanding in matter of high fidelity music. Each musical instrument need to be accurately reproduced and that means some capable pair of speakers, standmounted or standfloor. I am sure there are plenty of standmounters which are capable to do that.
In my room, a rectangular one, 18sqm, I think that Linton could fill my expectations.

Lintons go down to 37 hertz. Bass is definitely not a problem.
