The only advice is:

Unfortunately, as with all questions regarding speakers you are really going to have to audition for yourself. Everyone will have their own opinions but they don't have your ears.
If you cannot audition anything you are on a loser from the start.

BR08 is a £500 floorstander. Linton is a £1000 stand mount.

It’s not a very rational question. A bit like asking is chicken pie better than battered cod. They are not comparable.

I’d wonder why the Triangle are half price after just two years.
I read a lot of comments about both, Linton and Borea. As well as Linton the Borea is highly appreciated among the users and specialists.
In matter of price, the difference between them is just 150 euro. ( 850 euro vs 1000 euro)

Personally I like the Triangle sound.
Never heard the Linton but I suspect they sound their sound has not much to do with the Borea.
Why those 2 in your shortlist?
There were a few other brand on my list but after sone research I put these two on my list.
In my country their price is almost similar and both have positive ratings from both, users and specialists.
In matter of performance, both have their pros and cons. Aestethically the difference is a little bit bigger, Linton having a retro style with standmounts and Borea is a standfloor one.
I hoped to have owners opinion here.

Ah, so I was quoting UK prices. The Lintons need their dedicated stands - have you budgeted for them?

This recent summary may help, but obviously the prices need checking in your home country. I’d probably choose the QA5040 because I like and own that brand, and they’re great value here. But you need to see and hear your shortlist, really!

Stands are included in price! The indicated QA 5040 could be an option!

It's like asking if you prefer Burger King or Mcdonalds.

Im going to echo Al ears above.

Much of the sound you will hear will be your room, you need to try them! Even if someone has experience of the speakers, they have listened to them in a completely different environment to yours. They simply will not sound the same.

Its unanswerable question that gets asked daily.

If you're spending 1k on speakers whats another 50-100 to hop a train and go to a dealer. I don't get it! Id rather spend 50-100$£ then waste 1k to find I dont like them at all. Heck I caught the train all the way to brighton from Suffolk to test ride a push bike (mason if anyone interested) it was a 150quid ticket but it was worth it as I didn't have 6k to waste

If you're buying blind and unwilling to travel to a dealer then buy the prettiest one.

I would not buy before listening to them! But, as you know, it can sound in a way in showroom and in a different way at my home. It depends on a lots of factors!

Full agree!

If the dealer doesn't allow you try at home walk out its there lose not yours.
Most will do it with a small deposit, but you normally have to make a visit to the store first, they like to put a face to the name.

BUT

All my stuff was trialed at home and all bought from Scotland 400miles away from Suffolk, they have never seen me or met me they just know they'll get a sale out of me one way or another. So it is possible.

Another world here my friend but never say never. In any case I want an audition with Linton, I like the retro style.

About Denton vs Linton, I have read some opinions and some people say that Linton is a little bit better than Denton. Here the price is slightly same fo Denton and Linton.

The only way you'll really really know is audition.
Lintons should be better in certain circumstances as it's all down to cabinet size.
Speakers will sound a whole lot different to different people and depend a lot on whatever they happen to be driven by.
