Hello Everybody,

My name is Alessandro and this is my first post in this forum. Please consider that I am an absolute noob to these topics and I am willing to learn, but please be patient with me :)

I have a Linn AV5125 (bottom) and a Linn Kinos.

This is the output of my turntable

And this is the input of my passive speakers (2 of them)

I know that the speakers and the turntable are not even close to the quality of the amplifier (that was gifted to me).

Is there a way to connect these 4 devices? What cables do I need, and what input should I connect to which output?

Thanks in advance

Ale

Welcome! I’ve not got time this evening to research in detail, but this Linn Docs ‘wiki’ has everything you’re likely to need for the two Linn items.

Quickly, you’ll need a twin phono RCA cable from turntable L+R to analogue input 4 or 5 or 6. Then analogue out Front with a similar (maybe shorter) cable to any two channels on the power amplifier - say 1 and 2.

Then speaker cable from output 1 and 2 to the speakers. The amplifier ends are the rare BFA plug. The speaker probably takes either banana plugs or bare wire, but I can’t be 100% sure. The speakers look like the pairs of terminals need linking too, or possible double cable runs - but the latter shouldn’t be necessary.

You don’t need any fancy Hifi cables, but a dealer might good a place, in case you need to swap lengths or fittings. Also, there are settings with Linn systems for a different way of connecting and these may need setting correctly - see that label marked Aktiv?
