Linear PCM 48?

Sorry newbie question here.

When I watch movies (Bluray), & also Sky HD, my amp scrolls the text Linear PCM 48 across the front.

Am I getting full HD sound or do I need to change some settings?

Amp is a Sony STR-DA2400ES & blu-ray is Sony BDPS350.

You are getting full HD, but if you've selected a True HD or Master Audio track, it sounds like it's being converted by your player to an uncompressed PCM (unless it's a PCM soundtrack on the Bluray). Change your audio output on your player to Bitstream, or Driect Digital, whichever it shws it as. This will send a raw signal to your amp, and your amp will decode the True HD or Master Audio signal, and show the relevant format on your display.
