Mine’s survived three years but I don’t use it that often.

We did have a different remote for a Panasonic telly give up the ghost within a year, and they sent me a free replacement. But only after trying to charge me £18 for it!

As we're discussing LG remotes; I thought it was worth me sharing; there is an ethernet USB add on you can try. You may not be aware most LG TV built in ethernet is compatible upwards of 10-100mb, so if you're watching 4K television from your streaming provider like Netflix it's likely to be heavily compressed, thus the picture quality is nowhere near it's absolute best.
If your internet bandwidth is already low, you can ignore my post but if data stream is >100mb, please see my comments below 🙂

On Virgin Media I'm subscribed 1.3 gb broadband but most of the time, I'm averaging between 900mb and 1.00 gb.

If you're receiving high bandwidth broadband it is worthwhile getting yourself
Ethernet Adapter, 2.5Gbps High-Speed Network Adapter for Gaming and 4K content, USB 3.2 Gen 1 RJ45 Gigabit LAN Adaptor.

Before adding this device to my LG C4 USB socket, I was get a paltry 19-25mb and the picture wasn't that great. I'm now getting in excess of 310mb and 4K is beautiful, no compression.

I have the ASUS version, I've tried it fully compatible with LG C4.
