LG Dvd / Video Combo - Auto lock on remote

Hi,

At the parents and they have managed to get a red lock symbol on the display of their dvd / vhs player.

Presume its a child lock.

How do I turn it off please ? Have remote but no instructions.

You probably need to do a factory reset, but without knowing which model it is, it's hard to advise further.

Parents have given this to me now.

Still after that factory reset or advice on what to do.

Model in question is :

LG DVC8700

Remote ( if it helps ) is :

LG 6711R1P072B

Can you or anyone else shed anymore light please ?

There's a downloadable manual here which I am pretty sure will tell you how to do it, but since the document viewer LG uses for this one will only download in Internet Explorer, and we're all Macced up here, hard for me to check!

I did look online but couldnt find this for whatever reason ?

It all works, have now printed off manual, so cheers.

Some late night reading now - all 40 pages of English manual !!! 40 pages ???

Still, will come in handy when I flog it on fleabay once fully working.
