First post on this forum hoping for some advice before I send my new OLED back to LG.
This C5 has the soap opera effect on all 'picture' options from the menu using the remote.

I have turned Trumotion off and it has made no difference. The picture is unwatchable

Anyone experienced this or have any suggestions. TV is back in its box ready to go back!

Thanks in advance!

Sony’s picture processing motion is really good.

did you update the TV software or try factory reset ?

Yes, software updated. Factory reset not tried. Seems as if picture is stuck in trumotion. My previous LG C1 was same out of the box but turning off the trumotion made all the difference.

As mentioned above, try a factory reset then check for an update, after that select Filmmaker mode which turns all the processing off to see if this solves the problem.
Make sure you have the set to home mode, not store mode.

When I get a new TV, I go through the settings - mostly turning stuff OFF such as all so-called AI & motion control! However, there's a couple of settings on LG OLEDs that either can't be turned off or need special access but that's more to do with auto-brightness, IIRC. The Sony sets do have the reputation of the best motion control but at a price. LG's is reported to be not far behind so sounds like a setting,
