Looking at the above two televisions, or the idea of a projector and continue using my Panny PX80 for day to day use.
I could get the LG TV for around £580 including a 5 year warranty, but I've heard comments about 'buzzing' and the imagine retention was obvious on a demo tv in Curry's.
The Samsung is around £700 and has one inch extra, size wise. It comes with 2 pairs of 3d glasses too, but only a manufacturers warranty (1 year).
Or spend around £1000 and get an Optoma HD25 with one pair of glasses, 2 year warranty, pull down screen and up to a 92" screen.
Any thoughts? :wall:

Go the PJ route! watching a movie on a TV is good but watching it on a 92" screen is miles better!!!

I was in the same dilema as you and I went the PJ route leaving my 50" Plaz for day to day stuff and got a 92" electric screen for movies and XBOX sessions!

Here are a couple of pics to give you a idea! (pics were taken before I finshed the install8) )

My set up is HERE

The F5500 has no anti reflective coating, so I would be wary of it if you like daytime TV watching. There doesn't seem to be a mid range plasma from Samsung this year. Not familiar with the LG so shan't comment.

Projector looks good......think I need I go see one in action somewhere.

Found the Panasonic TX-P50ST60 for £899 with 5 year warranty now, so we could add it to the list of possibilities too.....
