I guess you just can't mark an OLED down. Something like that anyway.richardw42 said:Looking at the pros & cons, how can it possibly be 10/10 ?

And in particular read the (so far) 14 comments. This AVForums review, while still favourable, is more critical than the Trusted Reviews one. Mr Hodgkinson mentions that this is essentially a 2014 television, and the 2015 ec960 series is better, but has become unavailable! He also mentions tinting, banding, and less-than-brilliant upscaling of Standard and High Definition sources (unlike Samsung), and okay, but not spectacular, motion handling, and quite troublesome calibration, for a six-grand set!
Even if I had a spare six grand, I certainly wouldn't drop it on this 65ec970v television. So far I am feeling no urge at all to replace my Panasonic 65VT65 with any 65" 4K television that I've read about, which I don't doubt is technically better than my Panasonic. But then, my set doesn't (yet, touch wood!) have tinting, banding, or upscaling problems, and it's brilliant with motion, being a plasma. Oh, I should mention that I did see a 55" (I think, I don't think that it was as big as a 65", but I could be wrong) 4K OLED in John Lewis a week ago. I'm not sure if it was last year's ec970v or this year's ec960v. And yes, it looked very good with the footage that it was being fed. But then, I remember being equally impressed by last year's Samsung HU8500 and Sony's X9005B series of 4K televisions. Which didn't have HDR, and were not OLED technology.
