Has anyone seen this TV in action? The specs seem great - it even has Dolby Vision - but how does the picture compare to similarly priced Samsung, Sony and Panasonic TVs?

Well it`s an IPS Display so contrast and black levels wont be on par with the likes of Samsung(whos offering at this price - and even a bit above seem to suffer from judder dont know about Sony or Panasonic havent seen theyr 2016 offerings).Motion blur is low and it even has interpolation if your into that(personaly I hate it)

but it can be switched off.HDR Demo i saw in a showroom had pretty natural and believeble colors , If you can live with the lower contrast and black levels go for it .Its probably the cheapest true HDR(even if the gamut isnt as high as other more expensive offerings)TV.LG has other cheaper "HDR" TVs but theyr performance wont give any benefit of HDR(just playback capabilityes)
