Sent an email this morning asking for a warranty change on my new Leema amp (bought 2nd hand). Received an email back from head-honcho Mallory Nicholls very quickly welcoming me to the family.

Good service.

Respect the family...

...you're gunna need it for when the OH 'accidentally' drops it on your head...

JoelSim:...from head-honcho Mallory Nicholls...

One of them anyway.

He is 'ma' in Leema.

The other 'head honcho' is Lee Taylor. (Guess which bit of Leema he is!)

Both ex BBC.

I sold mine on ebay last year, the guy who bought it was really happy with the remainder of the 3 year warranty. When speaking to Leema to change over the warranty I was told there was, in fact, a five year warranty on their products. Now that's what I call a result. Guy who bought.....very happy bunny!

Great to know personal touch is still out there. Almost enough to make me decide on the Leema instead of the Densen or Sonnateer...

please can you tell me how the Leema sounds compared to Densen or Naim or Roksan or even Arcam solo? It looks good and reviews I've read have talked about good precise bass but some imprecision or lack of timing/presence in mid range. My post about this has been lost to the bottom of the pile

I will once I've taken it home and set it up. Currently sitting in its box at work.

Can we run a sweepstake on how long it might take to pluck up the courage?

Me too. 4 years and 2 months left on the warranty, and obtained in as-new condition for 44% of the new price.

Going to drive to work and pick it up tomorrow.

No but she works Tuesday-Thursday so I can use the car more easily than Friday and Monday when she is at home/out and about with little munchkin.

No, but I went clothes shopping with her on Saturday. Sainsburys Sunday. Changed the meal from roast lamb to roast chicken last night as per her wishes. Then made a chicken, leek and asparagus pie for tonight. As well as doing the lion's share of looking after Thomas all weekend. She has commented that I'm being unusually helpful.

JohnDuncan:Not gonna cover it buddy...

Got a good pay rise on Friday too, first one for 3 years so that will help too.
