My current HiFi setup is a Cyrus 8 amp driving Focal JMLab 714 floor standing speakers. Im about to buy a Samsung UE40B 7020WW led tv. Is it possible for me to use my hifi setup as the sound for this tv as I dont want a seperate surround system?

Hi, your TV has a digital optical output, so if you get an external DAC like a Cambridge audio DAC magic and then run that into your Cyrus amp using a phono lead.

So like this

TV ---------------------------> DACmagic -----------------------------> Cyrus 8 amp
