I have the bk xls200 sub and normally turn it on and off when i watch a film, but is it o.k to leave it on all the time.

Personally, I didn't feel comfortable with leaving my sub on all the time and because (a) the switch on my B&W ASW10 doesn't inspire me with confidence that it is very robust and (b) the switching by detecting an input seemed variable, I have opted to use the 12v option. The sub now always switches on and off with my AV amp. Just bought a mono cable from Maplin with 3.5mm plugs at each end.

You can leave such things on all the time but why waste the electricity and add a dash of risk of electrical failure/fire/etc.
