Hi,

Can anyone recommend a specilst who can repair a Leak Stereo 30 amplifier? The audio drops out in one of the channels. I've tried replacing the pots, but no luck so far.

Thanks,

Rob.

You replaced the pots? What pots? The normal cause of intermittent sound in the Leak 30 and 70 is the switches and the edge connectors of the circuit boards. Buy some switch cleaner like Servisol 10 and remove the circuit boards, then spray it on all over the connectors and the pots. I've never had to replace any pots on these.

Sorry, thought I had mentioned it. I'm in the UK. I was getting intermittent sound out of the right channel that seemed to improve upon messing around with the volume control, so thought there may have been connectivity issues around that, but replaced the pot on the volume control (and the tone I think).

Anyway, I seem to recall finding a few specialists in the UK when googling for them a few years ago, but now can't seem to locate them.

You might check out the classified adverts in publications such as Hifi News and Hifi Choice.
