LCD screen cleaning

Have a Sony KDL40W4500 anyone recommend a good way of cleaning the screen of dust and not generate to much static in the process.

i use a damp cloth, then a dry one... well actually there old cotton t-shirts but find it works very well

i use the cloth that came with the TV.

and if really needed the stuff i use on my PC screen.

any problems with backlight bleeding and clouding on your w4500 ?

no problems at the moment with backlight bleeding and clouding on the w4500 great picture quality with both Sky plus and blu-ray very pleased with w4500 better quality than I expected.

Would recommend use of a damp microfibre cloth . Roll it into a sausage shape and rotate it constantly as you traverse the screen ; this way the (abrasive ) dust is removed and not presented again to the soft plastic surface . No static generated so long as cloth is damp.

I have one of those Pledge fluffy dusters, sucks up dust like a magnet. Excellent for the shiny tv surround and stand, also gets all the small dust particles from the microfibre cloth. I was using the cloth dry so it tended to move the dust around rather than remove it.

The cleaning fluid is alcohol free and leaves an anti-static, optically pure and water repellent film. Its also safe to use on screens with any special coatings.
