Hi back in 2007 i bought "Creative GigaWorks T20" speakers http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000EGAB5E im now looking for a change and i like "Bowers & Wilkins MM-1" http://www.bowers-wilkins.co.uk/iPod_and_Computer_Speakers/iPod_and_Computer_Speakers/MM-1/Product-Details.html what speakers has the most power please

Excuse me for interupting the thread, but l'm also looking for a pair of good quality laptop speakers, so perhaps forum members can help out both mattytun1514 & myself.

For me, fidelity is the prime consideration. l have heard that the Audioengine A2's are reasonable, but bass heavy. l would also be looking at volume control access on the front of the speaker if possible.

AudioEngine a2 sounds great, it is sort of bass heavy, quite thick sounding but amazing soundstage for desktop. Decent level of clarity.
Needs a good source though, mine sound noticebly better coming using the CD player on my Marantz rather than the output from my x-fi card.
As it's a laptop the analogue out will most likely be pretty bad, though there are supposedly some nice usb mini dacs. The MM-1 has it's own internal DAC which is probably pretty decent.
